A hand-poured resin shift knob, 115mm (4.5 inches) tall, with black blossom set inside clear resin. Poured, cured and polished individually, so no two are identical.

Fitment

Mr Grip knobs are threaded 12mm x 1.25, the most common manual shifter thread, and ship with 10mm x 1.25, 10mm x 1.50 and 8mm x 1.25 reducers so they also fit those threads. If your shifter uses something else, message us before ordering.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive polishes, and avoid leaving it in a closed car in full summer sun for long periods.

What thread does this shift knob use, and will it fit my shifter?
The knob is threaded 12mm x 1.25, which is the most common manual shifter thread. Three reducers ship in the box — 10mm x 1.25, 10mm x 1.50 and 8mm x 1.25 — so it also fits those threads without buying an adapter. If your shifter uses a different thread, message us before ordering and we will tell you straight whether it will work.

Does a resin shift knob get too hot to touch in the sun?
Not the way a bare metal knob does. Metal is an efficient heat conductor, which is exactly why aftermarket metal shift knobs are a recurring complaint on car forums for scorching hands in summer. Resin insulates far better, so it won't build up that same painful surface heat. It can still feel warm on a hot day, like any dark interior part, so give it a second if the car's been sitting in direct sun a while.
Are resin shift knobs durable — will this crack or come loose?
Cured, hand-poured resin is solid and dense, not a hollow shell, so it holds up to normal daily shifting. It also threads directly onto your shifter rather than clamping on with set screws, which is the usual cause of aftermarket knobs working loose or cracking. Normal use is fine; like any resin part, avoid dropping it on concrete or leaving the car sealed shut in extreme heat for long periods.
